Questions, answered

The things people ask before they download: what each app does, what it costs, what it needs from macOS, and where your data goes. If something is still unclear, write to us.

Paste Manager

What does Paste Manager do on macOS?

Paste Manager records everything you copy — text, links, images and code — and keeps it in a searchable history. You open the menu bar item, type a few characters, and paste the thing you copied an hour ago without opening the app you copied it from.

Can I search my clipboard history in Paste Manager?

Yes. Type to filter the history as you scroll, switch between the category tabs to narrow it down further, and mark the entries you use every day as favourites so they stay at the top.

Does Paste Manager upload my clipboard to a server?

No. The clipboard history is stored on your Mac in the app data directory and is never sent to a server or a third party. Paste Manager collects no analytics and uses no tracking.

How much does Paste Manager cost?

Paste Manager is a one-off $0.99 purchase on the Mac App Store. There is no subscription and nothing to renew.

Go Monitor

What does Go Monitor show on my Mac?

Go Monitor puts live CPU and memory usage in the menu bar. Click it for a dashboard with charts for CPU, memory, disk I/O and network throughput, plus a 24-hour history of how your machine has been behaving.

Do I still need Activity Monitor if I have Go Monitor?

Go Monitor is for the quick glance — you read the menu bar without leaving what you were doing. Activity Monitor is still there for deep dives into individual processes, and the two work happily side by side.

Will Go Monitor slow down my Mac?

No. The app is built to stay quiet: it reads system metrics only, stores nothing, and never sends anything to a server. You choose the refresh interval and which metrics appear.

How much does Go Monitor cost?

Go Monitor is a one-off $1.99 purchase on the Mac App Store, with no subscription attached.

Screenshot Propmt

What does Screenshot Propmt do?

You take a screenshot of anything on screen and the app turns it into a detailed, reusable description you can paste into an image generator — the composition, the light, the colours and the style, written out as a prompt.

Which AI image tools do the prompts work with?

The prompts are plain text, so they work with Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, DALL·E, Adobe Firefly and anything else that takes a text prompt. Refine the wording, copy it, and use it wherever you work.

Are my screenshots uploaded anywhere?

The app processes the image locally on your Mac. Only when you deliberately use the AI analysis feature does image data go to the AI service provider you chose, for that request only. There is no analytics and no tracking.

Molly

Is Molly a free alternative to Alfred?

Yes. Alfred keeps its workflows behind the paid Powerpack. Molly is a native macOS launcher where workflows are part of the app: there is nothing to buy, nothing to renew and no account to create.

Can I import my Alfred workflows into Molly?

Yes. Import an .alfredworkflow file and Molly keeps the keyword you type today, then runs the same chain — Script Filter, Run Script, Clipboard, Open URL and the rest. Every imported workflow needs your explicit permission before it is allowed to run.

Is Molly a full replacement for Alfred?

Not in every corner, and Molly is honest about it. The common "keyword → Script Filter → script or output" chains run as expected. Alfred-only services such as Universal Actions, the Alfred Remote, the native search database and some Alfred-specific nodes are not implemented, and Molly refuses to run a workflow that contains a node it does not support rather than pretending it worked.

Does Molly send my data anywhere?

No. There is no account, no analytics and no telemetry. Your workflows, your history and your application index stay on your Mac. The only network request Molly makes is an optional update check against our own download server.

What macOS version does Molly need?

Molly needs macOS 14.0 or later. It lives in the menu bar, so it does not take up a slot in the Dock.
